About the role
Join our client’s Cyber Defence Centre Engineering team, where focus are on strengthening detection capabilities and automating processes to reinforce their cyber security efforts. As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing and developing cyber defence technologies while supporting the creation of our client’s target state.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on the design and development of cyber security detection architecture.
- Drive, develop, implement, and maintain Cyber Security related Use Cases.
- Participate in technology projects, ensuring appropriate controls are in place.
- Analyze security data to proactively prevent cyber threats.

Other requirements for this role include:
- Solid experience in Cyber Security, particularly in detection and prevention.
- Practical experience with SIEM, SOAR, and EDR solutions, including correlation and rules creation.
- Understanding of attacker techniques and the ability to implement use cases for improved detection capabilities.
- Knowledge of security technologies such as SIEM, Firewalls, Proxy, IDS/IPS, and Endpoint protection.
- Technical proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux), networks, databases.
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and cyber kill-chain.
- Ability to work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken alike.
Meriting:
- Security certifications such as CISM, CISSP, OSCP, CEH, or GIAC.
- Coding languages like Python, Java, or Powershell.
